Kingsford Smith Communities Environment Program 2019/20

$150,000 of funding is now available in Kingsford Smith for small scale, community-led environment projects that address local environmental priorities.

The Communities Environment Program makes available grant funding of between $2,500 and $20,000 for small projects that give communities the resources, skills and knowledge to care for the environment.

How does it work?

Federal Members of Parliament will establish a community committee to undertake consultation in their electorate to identify eligible environmental projects and invite expressions of interest.

Projects that are approved by the committee will then be invited via email to submit further information directly to the Department.

For-profit organisations, individuals and unincorporated associations are not eligible to apply.

Grants of between $2,500 and up to a maximum of $20,000 are available.

For each project, the grant amount can cover all eligible project costs. However, additional cash and/or in-kind contributions towards the project costs are strongly encouraged.

Eligible projects should be scheduled for completion by 31 December 2020.

Who can apply for this funding?
